2022 Preseason Power Rankings

Will Cooper Kupp carry Cosbys Sleepers to the title?

Preseason power rankings

Well gentlemen, the time has come. Week 1 of the NFL season. More importantly, week 1 of the Gentlemen's Fantasy Football league.

With my expert process, I've gone ahead and laid out the Power Rankings for the entire season.

You might be wondering... what is my expert process?

  1. For the most part, I have no idea what the hell I’m talking about.

  2. These are subject to slight bias- so if you’ve beaten me in a previous league, or sniped me in the draft, you may be prone to dropping a few spots.

So, let's get it started.

  1. Kyle & The Boys: Until I start losing due to having terrible running backs and Deshaun's 11-game suspension, why would I not rank my team first?! I mean, I have what will be the greatest receiving threat in history at the age of 21, and Ja’Marr Chase. (Kyle Pitts joke) No but seriously, Kyle Pitts is set to dominate and everyone will soon regret the laughter that was made when that pick was announced.

  2. Mr. Cantuski: Motherfucker. Somehow, you got the last pick & still have a stacked team. This team has a 3-headed receiving monster in Kupp, Diggs, Evans, all who could easily finish as WR1s. His team also has two incredible QBs and Joe Mixon as a running back to rely on. A ton of veteran talent, aka A fuckin retirement home.

  3. ASAP Crocky: QB's are really important in this league, and Russ and Hurts should absolutely kill this year. Not to mention, the number one RB in Jonathan Taylor is on this squad and the future of the Broncos, Javonte Williams. This team is a nice mix of win now talent and young studs, and if the young guys can produce this team will look scary come play-off time.

  4. ChuckysGone: Low key scary team name, adds to the vibe. Also, the squad has so many older, stud rbs. Dalvin Cook, Alvin Kamara, Nick Chubb and Zeke Elliot (if he still counts). All this team needs to do is make it to the playoffs, and they can take anyone out. If Michael Thomas comes back and is anything like what he used to be- this team could be a serious problem. With only two QBs on the roster, barring a trade, a lot of this teams hopes will ride on Kenny Pickett. Will Sir Smallhands lead this team to the promise land, or will his tiny fingers crumble under the weight of a dynasty roster?

  5. Herbert’s Serbert: To everyone’s surprise who has ever played fantasy football with Nick, he has assembled a solid roster here. Bolstered by Justin Jefferson and Herbert, this team has a lot of young, talented pieces. A lot of this teams ceiling will come down to unproven talent, a la Justin Fields, Gabe Davis. In a league where running QBs can be a cheat code, Fields has all the potential in the world. Unfortunately, the bears fuckin suck so that caps the ceiling here. However, If the young guns can make the next leap forward, this team could be in for a first round playoff exit. Talk about exciting.

  6. Croberts0531: Enter team Croberts0531. (Sick team name) This team is loaded with veteran talent like Kelce, Hill, and Fournette - there’s a lot to like here from a win now perspective. If his vets stay healthy, this team can put up points with anyone. I like this team as a dark horse to make some noise if they can make it into the playoffs.

  7. Demeyering: Anytime you start off with Josh Allen, you are in a good spot. The WR room is also stacked and young, with a bunch of dudes that definitely got that dawg in em. Saquon Barkley has been disrespected, and I think he’s in line for a huge year. AJ Brown & Deebo Samuel alone could probably piece up the rest of the NFL. These dudes are fuckin gigachads.

He’s also got the Denver hero, Jerry Jeudy in his core. However there’s one big obstacle this team has to overcome - too many lions players. A Detroit fan himself, this could be the downfall of his dynasty. It all depends on Dan Campbell, which to be fair, isn’t a bad bet to make.

8. CeeDee's Nuts: A really solid team here, let by Brady and burrow at the QB spot. Of course, he also has a ton of young talent, starring the ridiculously quick Ceedee Lamb. Depending on how his young RB's perform this year, he could have a dangerous team. We could see him make a big jump in the next power rankings release. However, he also beat me in the semifinals last year with a Tee Higgins 43 point outing. So that may play a factor here. Maybe.

9. I Chase Young Kids: The back to back champion of fantasy football. The thief of Drake London. His run of titles surely has to come to an end right? Yes. It must. Let’s break it down. The good: He has the best duo of QBs in the league and Lamar has a ceiling that doesn’t exist for many people on the planet. He also has studs in each position, with Derrick Henry, Davante Adams, and Darren Waller- but rumors are swirling that these players aren't getting along well and are looking for a new team. This team will need to rely on young players to be productive as rookies, which is an unlikely thing to bank on. Drake London, Jahan Dotson and Garrett Wilson need to be fantasy relevant from day 1 for this team to be competitive- which rarely happens. Cue “Do you believe in miracles!?” No, absolutely not.

10. ASS Etienne SZN: This ranking could easily come back to make me look like a moron. Michael drafted the player with the highest ceiling in any position, CMC. Though it was only 6 games long, he averaged 30.2 pointers per game in 2019. 30.2. That’s absolutely insane. That paired with Swift is just deadly. This team if healthy could skyrocket up the rankings. However, that’s a big if. The other major concern here is the QB room. Trevor Lawrence needs to take a massive leap forward. Jacoby Brissett or Davis Mills will need to be fantasy viable. Jacoby Brissett. Well, at least he can join the Jacoby Brissett fan club.
