2024 Power Rankings & Week 1 MVP

Updated: Sep 11, 2024

Week 1 MVP: Saquon Barkley (3 TD'S and 132 overall yards.)

Week 1 Power Rankings

  1. Eagles Offense (1-0): Saquon Barkley. AJ Brown. JT. Deebo. This team is loaded top to bottom, and arguably has more depth than any team in this league. Not to mention, the Lions are so good right now. This could be David's year in multiple facets... unless Kyle P has something to say about it :()

  2. Kyle P (0-1): The incoming Kyle Pitts breakout is enough to justify putting this team at 1, but I'll wait until later in the year to crown myself the king. No bias whatsoever. Whenever you start 3 Falcon players, it's either going to be a disaster or it's going to be fantastic. (narrator: It will be fantastic)

The WR core is the strongest area of this team, led by Ja'maar Chase, Ceedee Lamb and Drake London. The biggest question for this team, is how quickly will Caleb become fantasy relevant? Deshaun Watson has disappeared into the shadows, only to be played in the most desperate of weeks.

  3. Footballers (1-0): Started in the gutter, ended as a top 3 team. A turnaround that Evrim will likely never see again. Jayden Daniels looked absolutely fantastic week 1, a wonderful compliment to Josh Allen. With a very talented & young WR core, Evrim has undoubtedly set himself up well in the future. (Sidenote, Garrett Wilson is going to go insane this year)

Now we just have to wait and see how the year plays out. Will Isaiah Likely continue to be fantasy relevant? (No)

Will Jayden Daniels continue to put up massive rushing numbers? (No, it's the Commanders)

  4. Injured Reserve 2.0 (0-1): Let's look back at a quote from the GM of the #6 team in the power rankings, Michael Mann. On IR's QB Anthony Richardson, "The guy fuckin' sucks. I know a guy who knows a guy inside the Colts locker room, and that guy said that Anthony Richardson can't hit the broad side of a barn. He's out of the league in two years, if you ask me."

Thankfully for Aaron, this source was completely wrong. (This throw is insane)

AR, Burrow, and a very top-heavy RB/WR room should keep this team in the playoff hunt throughout the year. IF everyone stays relatively healthy, and he gets some contributions from his flex players, this team will be dangerous in the playoffs.

5. RBSWHTM (0-1) A team with top-heavy talent to compete with anyone. Jalen Hurts, Lamar, CMC , Puka, Davante Adams, etc.

The only issue facing this team is health. Puka is already on the I.R. CMC missed week 1. This is a big wait and see situation.

6. Ass Etienne SZN (0-1): With the emergence of Jamo, Jared Goff, and several random running backs, this team might make the playoffs for the first time in history. But having Michael Mann as the GM really puts this teams future in question. Check out this quote from Evrim Fowler, GM of the Footballers.

"Michael has no fuckin' idea [what he's doing]. It's only a matter of time until he completely fucks that team up. I've known him for several years, and there's no question how this story will end. He's going to fuck it up. He always does."

Ouch.

7. Mr. Cantuski (1-0): I'm probably sleeping on the defending champ.. but how much longer can this old squad do it? Joe Mixon, James Conner, Kupp and Evans. Maybe they will kill again this year and he will climb up the rankings. But, maybe the boys are too old. (shown below)

If there's any health issues with this team, the weak flex depth will show up quick and it will be time to blow it up.

8. Croberts0531 (1-0) Sorry Collin. This team is okay all around, but someone has to be close to the bottom. Nico Collins and Kelce should be studs, but I don't think that will be enough to push this team up the rankings. I also have to majorly cheer against the Bucs and you have 3 players in your starting lineup that are from Tampa.

9. Herbert Serbert (0-1): This team has been a powerhouse for two years running, but their time has run out. Jordan Love is already injured, and Sam Darnold is now QB2. I would suggest letting your kid pick for you more often, as he does a much better job. Seriously.

10. Football not Soccer (1-0): This team was very close to relegation, but there's hope with a new GM. However, the GM is British and confused about the rules of the sport.

There is building conflict in the locker room with the new takeover. With the media speculating on a future rebuild, this team is at a big fork in the road. Will they blow it up while their players still have value? Or will you try to compete with this old, aging roster?

We will have to wait and see
